Today in our workshop, the worker is attaching the Roman index on watch dial. so you can see several type indexes in the front. They are for different Roman numbers. There are several steps to assembly the index on watch dials.
Firstly, put the glue under the index holes on the back of dial. make 5 pcs to wait the glue dry a bit.
Secondly, take the dial front on the top like below video, put these indexes on the right position for hour markers. the wooden stick attaches the applied index to the holes. there are 2 legs on index to fit it on holes. why the stick can take the index? there is no magnet on bottom. we use the glue on the bottom of stick. let it dry, can attrack the index and no glue and harm on index
Thirdly, After all numbers in right position, put the dial back to press the index tightly on the dial. then put the tray to wait it dry completely.
It looks a easy job. but it is also easy to make mistake by roman index. it happened once before. These sunray watch dial with Gold applied Roman numerals is a classic design for man's watch. Acutally almost all applied index are done in same way as below video showed. but also for some swiss made watch parts. there is a drop test. In order to enhance the glue of index, we will make a speaker hole on the back of each hole. it helps a lot.
