In our workshop, we have 6 machines like below to cut the watch hands from brass based via mould. put the mould on the top of machine, then punch it down to cut the hands from any shape which customer required. like Arrow shape, or Lance watch hands, dauphine hands, or stick watch hands. we can produce any shape as you need. this is the first step of production for watch hands, if it is normal hand tube, it means the watch dial thickness is 0.4mm for this hands. then we will cut the hand tube from the mould as well, no need extra work to add the hand tube.
After the cutting, go on for next step. there are 2 options, depends on the quality, 1. polished only 2. Diamond cut quality for mid-high class watches.
if only polished quality, just put the hands in a line on a fixed tool for grinding wheel to polish the surface of hands, make it glossy and shining. This is simple way for normal quartz watch.
if it is diamond cut quality, there are more steps than first one. firstly, we need to cut hands individually, then put them on steel tool for fix, then put the diamond cut machine for polished the facets to make sure it likes the diamond cut effect.
For watch dial over 0.4mm, we need to attach the Custom made hand tube under the hole, we called it Heightened hand tube. This is extra work like below video, it is for diamond cut hands, hand made it. we have machines to fix hand tube on polished hands by automatic machine. no need to grab the tube one by one and put the hands one by one. it is more effective way for adding the hand tube.
